Next Saturday Felons Brewing is hosting its celebration of lager, Lagerpalooza, at Howard Smith Wharves. I could not be more excited that great lager is getting the stage to itself.

To celebrate, I am doing something I have wanted to try for years, a beer and caviar tasting. I have roped in my great friend, caviar (and cheese) expert Peter Gross and Felons has given me a space and we’re going to do it.

If you would like to see how great lager and caviar go together, join us for this one-off, exclusive (and as far as I can see, never before done in Australia*) beer and caviar tasting.

Details:
Date: Saturday, September 30.
Where: The Green House, Howard Smith Wharves
Cost: $20**
Duration: 45 minutes

Bookings

*I have learned never say anything is the first….but I have never heard of one and Google isn’t showing any.
**This is $20 in addition to an entry ticket to the festival, which can be had for as lilttle as $20, which gives you entry to the fesitval, glassware & first beer. You need a ticket for the
first session (11am - 4pm) for Saturday 30th.

What you will experience

We will be sampling three of the festival lagers, paired with three caviars - Oscietra Gold, Royal Oscietra and the most famous and prestigious of all caviars Beluga.

As a very special addition, we will also have a fourth match, pairing a lager to extra mature, 18 month aged clothbound English cheddar from Quicke’s, to rediscover the traditional ploughman’s pairing.

You will learn all about tasting and the traditions of caviar, as well as it’s interesting association with beer presented by myself and Peter Gross.
