Australia's leading beer cheerleader, James Smith and his Crafty Pint has declared that that 22 February is the day that Craft Beer Rises in Australia. Events celebrating Australian craft beer are being held all over the country.
Some of my favourite beer people, the Scratch boys, have invited me to host an event with them, taking over their new Brewniversity event to celebrate the history of Australian craft beer.

Join us for a special edition Brewniversity unit, with Mr Beer himself, Matt Kirkegaard, as he takes us through the evolution of craft beer through the last couple of decades.
Look back at some of the brands that have contributed to the rise of good beer, and celebrate with a glass or two of the stayers.
Stay for the rest of the day and enjoy as all our taps showcase 6 of The Scratch’s favourite local brews, with no doubt a handful of the brewers themselves on hand to hold the bar up for the afternoon.
